Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization and continue the work that has been established for the past 45 years. The successful candidate must have the ability to inspire and motivate a team, make strategic decisions, and effectively manage operations, including fiscal management, while promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. Experience dealing with the public and supervising a unionized work environment is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership: Implement the mandate and mission of the organization in collaboration with the Board of Directors.

2. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including program development, service delivery and quality assurance.

3. Financial Management: Manage the organization's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

4. Funding Sourcing: Pursue funding opportunities, build relationships with donors and various stakeholders, and develop a comprehensive strategy for the organization.

5. Community Engagement: Foster close partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and government agencies to advance our mission and serve the needs of our individuals and their families/caregivers.

6. Advocacy: Advocate for the rights, interest, and well-being of adults with intellectual disabilities and promote inclusion in the workplace and community.

7. Staff Management: Supervise and support staff to ensure a positive, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Education: Post Secondary degree in a relevant field, such as non-profit management, business administration, social work, or interdisciplinary studies.

2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a non-profit organization serving individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities.

Benefits:

1. Competitive Salary: $85,000-$95,000 per annum, depending on experience.
