Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) is the framework utilized to transfer interest rate risk and liquidity risk from the business lines to a centralized unit within Group Treasury; mitigating volatility related to these factors in business unit margins.
The Associate, FTP Infrastructure and Insights, supports the implementation, enhancement, and governance of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodologies and infrastructure. Reporting to the Associate Director, this role bridges technical execution with strategic insight, contributing to the development of tools, data processes, and analytics that drive FTP accuracy and transparency across the Bank.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Support the implementation/maintenance of FTP methodologies and design enhancements by collaborating with Treasury, Finance, and Technology teams.
- Assist in developing data architecture, conducting testing, and ensuring robust documentation and controls.
- Evaluate and improve data completeness and accuracy from source systems. Support the automation of FTP workflows and reporting using Power BI, SQL, and Python, while maintaining governance documentation.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that provide FTP insights (e.g., Funding Centre P&L, product FTP, historical trends).
- Perform impact analysis for changes in methodologies and support exception pricing investigations.
- Partner with business lines, regional treasury teams, and finance units to align FTP practices and resolve pricing inquiries.
- Leverage Power BI, SQL, Excel VBA and Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting.
- Provide support to the Associate Director and Team on strategic initiatives, special projects, and ad-hoc tasks including data investigations, stakeholder presentations, and process reviews.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:
- University degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a Data or Business Analyst role within Treasury, Finance, or Risk.
- Enrollment in or certification in CFA, CPA, or FRM is considered an asset
- Understanding of banking products, interest rate and liquidity risk, and profitability analysis.
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development is preferred.
- Skilled in Excel and SQL; experience with Python, VBA, and process automation is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
- High attention to detail with a critical and analytical mindset.
