Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Dispatch Assistant
Shifts: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:00 am-4:00 pm
Pay: $19.25/hr
Location: Ottawa East (St. Laurent Blvd and Innes Rd)
We're hiring an Evening Administrative Assistant/Dispatch Assistant on behalf of a locally owned and operated Transportation Company. Within this role, you will be responsible for the entry of Bills of Lading, PO's, and communicating with customers to schedule deliveries and/or pickups. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the transportation industry.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry of manifests from drivers, Bills of Lading, and delivery forms
- Photocopying
- Scanning Documents
- Use of Excel and Microsoft Word
- Responding to emails using Outlook
- Customer service
- Answering calls
- Various additional duties as requested by supervisor
Requirements:
- 6 months to 1 year of verifiable Administration experience (Transportation industry is considered an asset)
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to an ever-changing industry
- MS Excel, Outlook, Word experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- 6 months-1 year in the customer service industry
