Job Details: General Labour/ Power Washer

Pay: $20/hr

Shifts: Monday - Friday

Work Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Location: Ottawa, ON

We're hiring a full-time Power Washer with a G license on behalf of Canada's largest manufacturer of compactors, balers, and related equipment. This client also has Canada's largest fleet service to repair and maintain the equipment. In this role, you will be accompanied by a service technician and will travel to customer sites to clean and maintain the equipment in Ottawa and surrounding areas. You will be working outdoors and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Drive to customers at commercial or residential job sites.
• Pressure wash garbage chutes, linen chutes, and waste containers.
• Use standard hand-tools and pressure washing equipment daily.
• Help with setup and teardown of light equipment at job sites.
• Assist the Service Technician with inspections on recycling equipment such as compactors and garbage chutes, and inspections and repairs on waste containers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate with management and maintenance staff at each location.
• Address urgent calls, demonstrating the ability to manage unforeseen challenges and ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
• Leave each job site clean and free of debris to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Valid "G" Driver's License with a clean abstract.
• WHMIS training is considered an asset.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Flexibility is required as this position occasionally requires travel, early starts, late finishes, and, on rare occasions, weekend work.

Working Environment:

• Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, a technician would be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel.
• Must be able to drive safely for periods of up to 2 to 3 hours at a time to reach job destinations. Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the job.
• Note on Working Conditions: Our technicians often operate in environments where waste is present. As such, it's crucial to be comfortable working near garbage and to always prioritize safety and cleanliness. Protective gear and adherence to health and safety guidelines are essential.
