JOB SUMMARY :
Reporting to the Vice-President of Clinical Logistics, the incumbent is responsible for the strategic and operational management of several nursing units across the Network. Their primary mandate revolves around optimizing the use of transition beds and supporting the smooth flow of patient care, while fostering efficient management of hospital capacity.
This person is a team leader in interdisciplinary and inter-facility coordination aimed at reducing average length of stay and improving patient return to the community within optimal timeframes. They work proactively with external partners, including referring hospitals, community resources and long-term care facilities, to effectively plan discharges and avoid unnecessary delays.
With a systemic and results-oriented approach, the incumbent ensures harmonization of practices across the Network, compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement. They manage the clinical and administrative teams under their responsibility, use data to guide decision-making and act as a change leader in clinical logistics. They work closely with the Network's interprofessional teams and partners to support the organization of services and actively contribute to implementing the learning approach with seniors.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Undergraduate degree in health, administration or management
- Master's degree (business administration, public administration, health services management) considered an asset
- Eight to ten years' professional experience relevant to the position and/or in health services management
- Excellent knowledge of the hospital system, its administration and its legal framework
- Experience in project management and multidisciplinary leadership
- Ability to work using a results-driven approach
