JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice-President of Clinical Logistics, the Assistant Vice-President is responsible for the learning client programs and care units, including critical care (emergency and intensive care departments), the medicine and internal medicine program, and rehabilitation units.
As a strategic leader, the Assistant Vice-President supports the Vice-President of Clinical Logistics in ensuring compliance with external professional and regulatory standards and internal standards of care. This person builds solid professional relations with all clinical programs, various community partners, the Leadership Team, the Board of Directors, and the internal and external community, and develops a regional strategy for all the programs in their portfolio in accordance with the organization's mission and vision.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Clinical training in a field related to the learning client programs;
- Experience or demonstrated ability to learn quickly and manage at a senior level in a complex field is preferred;
- Excellent knowledge of the health care setting in the province and elsewhere in Canada;
- Considerable and progressive experience in clinical services management;
- 7 to 10 years' experience in a management position;
- Any combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be taken into consideration;
- Demonstrates solid work ethics and imparts a sense of safety to their colleagues and their team;
- Ensures team members grow and reach their performance targets;
- Fosters, hires and promotes individuals who demonstrate our organizational values;
