SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Spoken French and English essential and written French or English

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent reports to the General Director, Acadie-Bathurst Zone, and is an employee of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation. The Development and Programs Officer works closely with Acadian Peninsula foundations on annual campaigns to support them in their fundraising activities. The incumbent also works directly with each of the zone's foundations to promote the monthly donations, in memoriam donations and grateful patient programs that is: the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, the Fondation Hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus, Lamèque Hospital and CHC Foundation and the Fondation Les Amis de l'Hôpital de Tracadie.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Administration, Communications/Public Relations or a related field;
  • At least 5 years' experience in communications and public relations, preferably in the health care or non-profit sector;
  • Work experience in the philanthropy sector;
  • At least 5 years' management experience;
  • Inspiring leadership;
  • Good communicator, orally and in writing;
  • People and interpersonal skills;
  • Project management;
  • Staff and volunteer management;
  • Budget management;
  • Sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities;
  • Intellectual curiosity and capacity for analysis;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
