Your main responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop the concept, presentation, detailed and tender ready design of various civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including corridors and surfaces;
  • Develop construction quantity and cost estimates, complete with required calculations and evaluations;
  • Perform constructability review of projects;
  • Analyze data and report on findings;
  • Maintain and progress with current industry standards;
  • Responsible to advance and understand project requirements related to current development standards, specifications, and guidelines;
  • Maintaining and building client relations;
  • Meet project budget and deadlines;
  • Participate in project and client meetings;
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

What makes you unique

  • Strong experience in municipal/civil infrastructure design;
  • Civil Engineer or Civil Technologist with a diploma from an accredited university or college;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Must be licensed, or eligible for registration with AETTNL in the province of NL;
  • Previous experience performing site inspection of municipal, transportation, and private engineering projects would be an asset;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety;
  • Experience in site development;
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years relevant experience post-education. A combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Comfortable in expressing new ideas or strategies;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Desire to grow and accept challenges;
  • Ability to focus and work on multiple projects;
  • Must be able to work in a team environment to accomplish common goals;
  • Ability to provide mentorship to junior staff;
  • Be motivated by your success and assist in motivating others;
  • The following skills will be considered an asset: Proposal writing, Report writing, and Modelling.
