Job Summary
Reporting through the Provincial Manager of Learning and Development, the Manager of Leadership Development will lead and direct
the creation of a management and leadership development strategy and programs that align with the strategic objectives of NL Health
Services and develop leadership and management capabilities throughout the organization. To achieve this the Manager of Leadership Development will identify, design and deliver frameworks that represent skills and leadership capabilities aligned to the short-term and long-term objectives of NLHS. The incumbent will be required to work cooperatively with employees, managers, volunteers, and union
representatives of NLHS, as well as other members of the Human Resources team
Job Demands
Provide leadership and oversight for management onboarding, management essentials, leading learners.
Aligning programs to meet strategic goals and objectives
Develops and recommends leadership programmes
Develops training sessions and manuals
Conducts training sessions
Keeps records
Writes reports
Evaluates the long term effect of training programmes
Assists leaders and managers to develop people skills
Collaborate with career development to define career paths and support through training and programs.

Job Qualifications:
Education
Graduation from an approved school with a baccalaureate degree in business, education or a health related field.
Master’s degree is an asset.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years' experience within the last seven (7) in a role supporting education, leadership, learning or development.
Previous management experience is an asset.
Experience in coaching, developing and mentoring emerging leaders.
Experience in the facilitation of team and change management processes.
Proficient in the use of basic computer programs including Microsoft Office.
