Full-time, 35hrs/wk - 2 roles to be hired

Salary range: $45,000-$55,000

Are you passionate about supporting the well-being of First Nations children, youth, families, and communities? Do you have experience coordinating community-based programs and services? We are looking for a Program Coordinator to support the delivery of health & wellness programs that promote mental wellness, family wellness, child safety, and community well-being within Pictou Landing First Nation.

About the Role:

As the Program Coordinator, you will work within the Health Department in the planning, development, and coordination of health & wellness services aimed at supporting Pictou Landing First Nation's children, youth, families, and community members. You will be integral in delivering culturally relevant, community-driven programs, with a focus on promoting positive outcomes for youth, families and community. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with community members and service providers to make a meaningful impact.

Two roles will be hired - sharing responsibilities between Prevention and Mental Wellness Programs & Services. Leadership & direction will be provided by Prevention Programs Manager, Director of Health and in collaboration with health team members, community leadership and community input.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the design and coordination of health & wellness programs and services, including program planning for wraparound services, workshops and cultural teachings.

Organize community events, workshops, and outreach activities to engage individual, youth, families and community which promote wellness.

Maintain program records, track outcomes, and assist with program evaluations.

Collaborate with the Health Department, community leaders, and external partners to ensure program effectiveness.

Provide administrative support for budgeting and resource management.

What You Bring:

A diploma or degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).

At least 2 years of experience in community program coordination, preferably in a First Nations setting.

Strong communication and organizational skills. Including experience in proposal writing, developing work plans, and community engagement.

Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites of programs.

Knowledge of community-based health & wellness programs and services.

Experience working with Pictou Landing First Nation or other First Nations communities is an asset.
