Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, Manager, PR – Digital and Corporate Communications, oversees the digital communications strategy for Bell Media, including for media sites The Lede and Salle de Presse, as well as corporate site BellMedia.ca, and develops initiatives to support and amplify Bell Media's news and announcements. They provide internal and external communications support for corporate, ad sales, and out-of-home teams and drive the LinkedIn strategy for Bell Media brands and executives.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications on strategy and new ways to support and amplify the work of the Bell Media communications team
- Support internal and corporate communications including executive town halls, notes, newsletters, etc.
- Proactively research and suggest new methods and tools to modernize communications team, with focus on reaching new media contacts and measurable results
- Develop strategies and manage internal and external communications for the Sales team, including notes from leaders to staff and clients, and press releases, pitching
- media, etc.
- Manage communications and PR efforts for the Out-of-Home team, including press releases, pitches, etc.
- Develop a company-wide program for LinkedIn to amplify announcements
- Build specific plans and manage LinkedIn presence for executives and PR brands
- Curate and edit content for The Lede, BellMedia.ca and Today's Lede Stories
- Identify gaps in content flow and knowledge base among team for The Lede, and third-party media monitoring tools, and proactively suggest new resources/how-to
- documents to bridge the gaps
- Maintain resource and training materials for the communications team
- Compile, edit daily content for Weekly Lede Stories, build a long-term strategy to grow users of The Lede and Weekly Lede Stories
- Act as main point of contact for The Lede, BellMedia.ca, Today's Lede Stories, and third-party media monitoring resources
- Act as main contact for web design and support company for day-to-day issues concerning The Lede and BellMedia.ca and management of critical path
- Maintain consistent and ongoing social media strategy for @TheLede social handles and support strategy for @CTV_PR, @TSN_PR, and @Crave_PR.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including Hosting, IT, Digital, Security and Sales as it pertains to The Lede
Critical Qualifications
• Business knowledge of Customer Operations call centers
• Ability to effectively communicate and present to executives and directors with a high degree of confidence
• High sense of urgency in responding to inquiries from various stakeholders across the organization
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented and project management skills
• Demonstrated experience in executive communications
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Creative and open minded – able to challenge the status quo and generate new achievable ideas
• Collaborative, flexible and able to juggle multiple projects
• Ability to effectively work in a self-directed manner, and as part of a team
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills suitable for collaborating with multiple stakeholders at all levels of management

• Superior networker with strong stakeholder management skills
• Passion for people and energy to succeed
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and WebEx
• Knowledge and experience with social media, digital marketing and new communication tactics
• Flexibility for working hours
- University degree and/or diploma in Communications
- 3-5 years' experience in media or entertainment publicity
- Experience leading and motivating a team
- Must have a proven track record for innovative communications strategies
- Must be highly organized and able to juggle numerous projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy
- Experience with LinkedIn and social media tracking technology
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task
- French speaking an asset
