Name and description of the hiring departmentThe Associates Talent Acquisition are responsible for the recruitment and selection process of internal and external candidates. They perform the majority of the recruitment phases up to and including the selection of non-management employees. They are also responsible for guiding, assisting, career pathing, training and supporting client groups in the correct application and utilization of human resources processes. They are responsible for administering and controlling the various transfer processes for unionized staff and for the internship programs. The incumbent also coordinates the recruitment from end to end, ensuring its continual integrity and adherence to established policies and practices.
The successful candidate must have relevant knowledge and a general interest in our sphere of activity. The Associate Talent Acquisition reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition.
Job Duties / Accountabilities- Recruit and select candidates, conduct phone/video pre-screen and behavioural based interviews using targeted selection techniques
- Receive, analyze, negotiate and post all job postings from the various certification units or of the internship program, in compliance with policies, processes and collective agreements
- Prioritize urgent requests and plan the daily workload in order to meet tight deadlines
- Provide coaching to managers and employees, as well as explanations of the guidelines governing the job posting, redeployment and candidate selection processes
- Determine employee eligibility based on the transfer criteria specified in the collective agreements including the Analysis and management of procedures related to the workforce adjustment process
- Prepare the documents related to the different teams' requests including the update, creation & management of various databases and websites
- Manage candidates' attraction strategies, including searching for passive candidates and calling potential talents
- Minimum of 1 year experience in recruitment
- Knowledge of the legislation pertaining to human resources (labour standards, human rights, diversity, etc.) and recruitment policies
- Knowledge English and French required, in the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English-speaking stakeholders
- Demonstrated influence and negotiation skills
- MS Word intermediate level
- MS Excel basic level
- MS Outlook intermediate level
- Proficient keyboarding skill in both official languages
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, and sense of priorities
- Ability to reason and make decisions independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with people in abstract circumstances (over the telephone)
- Strong ability to adapt and ability to work under pressure and handle several files simultaneously
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to read quickly, analyze, deduce and summarize
- Conscientiousness, meticulousness, attention to detail and team spirit
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast paced and efficient environment
- Strong focus on customer service and quality
- Working knowledge of recruitment tools
- Certificate or bachelor's degree in human resources management
- Agency recruitment experiences
- Monday through Friday, between 8AM and 6PM, according to business needs
- Salary in accordance with the collective agreement
