Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The Scrum Master will be responsible for guiding and coaching one or more Agile teams, ensuring the team adheres to Scrum principles and practices. This role requires a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Product Owner, Development Team, and stakeholders to facilitate the Scrum process, remove impediments, and foster a collaborative and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitation: Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. Ensure these events are effective, time-boxed, and focused on delivering value.
  • Coaching: Coach the Development Team, Product Owner, and the organization on Agile and Scrum principles, values, and practices. Help the team understand and embrace Agile methodologies.
  • Servant Leadership: Serve the team by removing impediments, protecting them from distractions, and fostering a self-organizing and high-performing environment.
  • Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress. Escalate issues when necessary and work collaboratively to find solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Facilitate continuous improvement within the team and the organization. Help the team identify and implement process improvements through retrospectives and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the Product Backlog is well-maintained, prioritized, and understood by the team. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Track team progress, velocity, and other relevant metrics. Provide regular reports to stakeholders on team performance and project status.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and open communication within the team and with external stakeholders. Ensure everyone understands the project goals, progress, and any challenges.
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to team members on Agile and Scrum practices. Help team members develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the team's ability to deliver value.
Critical Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with Agile teams.
  • Certifications: Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I) is required.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and other Agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban).
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years AI and/or telecommunications experience is preferred
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using JIra
  • French verbal and written fluency is an asset.
