RESEARCH ASSISTANT II

(Part-time; 21 hours per week)

(Contractual position to August 15, 2025)

DUTIES

The Research Assistant II position will coordinate live research projects with Newfoundland & Labrador Centre for Applied Health Research (NLCAHR) stakeholders and match these with summer internship students. Duties include engaging with a broad cross section of NLCAHR stakeholders including health system partners, Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) group members and NLCAHR staff to identify knowledge gaps; coordinating student interests and placing them on projects according to interests and aptitudes; translating research gaps into actionable research projects; coordinating student activity to ensure project deliverables are met; providing ongoing support for students as they conduct research; providing quality control on research projects to ensure that the project deliverables are to the highest standard; other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (1-3 years) in health or policy related research; completion of most coursework towards a Master's degree in a related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Strong time management, interpersonal and communication skills is essential. Knowledge of health policy issues, an understanding of research methods and experience supervising student projects is required.

SALARY $33.57 - $39.38 hourly (Non-Bargaining)
