Job Title: Forklift Operator - Outdoor Environment
Pay Rate: $24.00/hr
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Hours: 6:45 am Start
Location: Ottawa South

We're currently in search of a skilled Forklift Operator with at least two years of experience for one of Ottawa's premier landscaping companies. Specializing in landscaping and construction supplies, this company requires proficient forklift operation. As a Forklift Operator, you'll be responsible for loading and unloading landscaping materials from suppliers and preparing materials for delivery to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive promptly 15 minutes before the yard opens, wearing clean clothes meeting safety requirements (e.g., high-visibility outerwear, steel toes).
• Complete daily inspections and assist the shipper/receiver as needed.
• Maintain general knowledge of product locations in the yard and warehouse.
• Ensure accurate loading of delivery trucks and customers' vehicles, adhering to health & safety regulations.
• Offload delivery trucks and restock the yard & warehouse.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain yard/warehouse cleanliness, including sorting freight.
• Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements:

• Valid forklift certification, with 2 plus years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Criminal Record Check may be required during onboarding.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with the ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision.
• Steel-toed boots are required for safety.
