DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager of Operations in the Discipline of Family Medicine, and collaborating directly with the Principal Investigators of the 6for6 Program, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the 6for6 Program, a research development program for rural and remote physicians. By applying project management best practices, the successful candidate will manage the program's objectives, scope, resources, schedules, communications, accreditation, and program integration. Duties include providing support to program participants and alumni; participating in recruitment of participants, staff and students; providing guidance to staff and supervising students; assisting with program finances and budgeting; liaising with project stakeholders, including physicians, academics, government officials, and more; working independently to coordinate various tasks and priorities; and performing other related duties, as required. Collaborating with team members and program participants, the Project Coordinator will also contribute to academic writing and help develop reports, teaching materials and conference presentations. This position will also provide support to projects within the Centre for Rural Health Studies (CRHS), as needed. Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (3-5 years) in coordinating projects, including demonstrated project or program management, and experience with research projects, research writing and grant proposals is required. A graduate degree in Public Health, Community Health, Epidemiology or a relevant discipline is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively to build successful relationships with program stakeholders; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; experience in conducting research, knowledge translation, program evaluation, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Familiarity with Memorial University policies and procedures would be considered an asset, as would experience in an institution of higher learning.
SALARY $67,857 - $79,601 per annum (Non-Bargaining)
