Grenfell Campus is seeking a fundraising professional to help achieve the fundraising goals for its campus located in Corner Brook, NL. The successful candidate will support the fundraising strategies consistent with both Grenfell’s and Memorial’s strategic priorities.

DUTIES

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Communications and Advancement, and working with the Senior Development Officer (Central), you will be responsible for formulating and implementing fundraising strategies and tactics to solicit significant financial gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Duties include identifying, evaluating, cultivating and soliciting donors (alumni, faculty, staff, and friends) who may be interested in making a cash, securities, or in-kind donation to Memorial; building and maintaining a portfolio of active donors in order to maximize philanthropic donations; developing and achieving annual fundraising plans with goals, metrics, and strategic objectives in collaboration with the Deans at Grenfell Campus and the Senior Development Officer; preparing and maintaining accurate donor records and basic financial reports; assisting with the planning and execution of a coordinated donor relations program to enhance the relationship between donors and Grenfell Campus; drafting prospect reports, letters, gift agreements, and other donor-centered materials to support fundraising efforts; acting as an ambassador for Grenfell Campus and Memorial University; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (3-5 years) in philanthropic fundraising, revenue development, sales, or relationship management in the education, service or not-for-profit sector, or any equivalent combination of experience and training; graduation from a four-year college or university. The successful candidate will be a people person with sophisticated interpersonal skills, excellent judgement, empathy, discretion, and professionalism. A track record of successfully asking for significant donations is desirable. Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple projects from conception to completion within tight timelines, and work both independently and with a team. Knowledge of Memorial University and its unique mandate regarding service to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador would be an asset. Previous experience with Microsoft Office, Teams, Blackbaud NXT, Raiser’s Edge, or similar data and software platforms would be beneficial; as well as CFRE and/or financial investment designations. Willingness to work some non-standard hours and to travel nationally and internationally is required.

SALARY $63,099 - $86,042 per annum (Management and Professional)
