ACADEMIC PROGRAM ASSISTANT (BAND LEVEL 4)

DUTIES

Reporting to the Manager of Operations and the Discipline Chair, the successful candidate will work closely with the Academic Program Administrator as well as the Residency, Curriculum, Pre-Clerkship, and Clerkship Directors for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the Discipline of Psychiatry. Duties include assisting in coordination and scheduling of the psychiatry component of Phases 2 and 3 undergraduate programs; scheduling/monitoring the clinical clerkship (Phase 4) psychiatry rotation; monitoring student progress; attending meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and providing administrative support to the Competence program committees of the residency program; posting evaluations to One45; coordinating and communicating with Undergraduate Medical Education, Learner Well-Being and Success, and Postgraduate Medical Education offices for program delivery; providing administrative support to faculty members; collaborating with the Academic Program Administrator to support the CaRMS process and Accreditation Management System (AMS); and perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience (1-3 years) in academic program activities in a university environment; supplemented by a diploma in office or business administration; or any combination of experience and training. Demonstrated analytical skills, experience in a fast-paced environment; minute taking as well as experience with, and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs are required. Experience in administration of academic programs, familiarity with OSCE examinations, knowledge of One45, and MUNCAT software are considered assets.

SALARY $49,308 - $57,841 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
