Title: TESS Coordinator (Leave Coverage)
Classification: Full Time, Non-Management
Salary: $45,000-$50,000 annually
Hours: Typically, 37.5 hours/week (extended hours as required), Hybrid work
Start Date: Immediate start.

General Summary
YWCA Halifax is seeking a strong leader to join our dynamic and creative team. Candidates will have the capacity and experience to lead and coordinate a province-wide, multi-sectoral partnership initiative on the issue of Commercial Sexual Exploitation/Human Trafficking in Nova Scotia.
Position Overview
The coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Trafficking and Exploitation Services System (TESS), a provincial, multi-sectoral partnership aiming to prevent, intervene, and create a system of response to deal with the issue of the sexual exploitation of youth. The coordinator will work collaboratively with government, community organizations, and first responders to deliver on the outcomes of the project which include:
• Raising awareness of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in NS
• Training development and facilitation
• Community mobilization in rural NS
• Convening and facilitation of partnership meetings
• Administration of TESS social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
• Communications to TESS partners, funders, and public
• Research in program areas and best practices to ensure program quality and innovation
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in related field such as social sciences.
• Direct experience leading collaborative projects on complex issues involving multiple stakeholders
• Outstanding communication and organization skills
• High level of computer literacy
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Solid understanding of issues such as violence against women, trafficking, cyberviolence, sexual health, poverty, discrimination, gender and physical activity, media influences etc., and how they impact girls, women, and gender- diverse people both locally and globally.
• Understanding of program management and evaluation in an outcome- based framework
• Strong supervisory, administration and financial management skills
• Strong organizational development and advocacy skills
• Ability to maintain collaborative partnerships internal and external to the organization
• Current First Aid/CPR training and WHMIS
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Checks
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle necessary
