Your Contribution

  • Commitment to EH&S and Quality objectives;
  • Routine and preventative maintenance of the lab equipment and instruments;
  • Prepare test-pieces for evaluation of parts for failure investigation as per the Component Investigation Engineer's directives;
  • Cut solid samples for possible metallographic analysis;
  • Cold and hot mounting (mounting press) of solid samples;
  • Polish coated samples and perform chemical etching;
  • Prepare etching reagents and manage solutions if necessary ( WHMIS labels, shel life);
  • Archive samples;
  • Perform analysis of various debris found within engines and power turbines;
  • Perform micro and macro hardness measurements (Vickers / Rockwell), at the request of the Component Investigation engineer;
  • Perform microscopic photography at the request of the Component Investigation engineer;
  • Assist the engineering team for SEM observations

Your Profile

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) or Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in metallurgy or equivalent experience;
  • Relevant experience is an asset.
  • Bilingual French and English, spoken and written
