The Role
We are in search of a Risk Management Associate to join our existing Risk and Insurance team in Saint John, NB. This role will report to the VP of Risk and Insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all claims related activities
- Review first and third-party claims for eligibility, irregularities, accuracy and completeness, requesting additional information as necessary
- Prepare proper documentation to file a claim and process it in the system
- Verify insurance coverage, assist with claim settlement and handle paperwork related to claim settlements
- Ensure accurate and timely reserving of claims
- Maintain updated records and prepare required reports
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including domestic and international claim support
- Support non-claims related activities of the Risk Management department
Skills and experience required:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a detail-oriented approach to analysis.
- Excellent time management capabilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
