Reporting directly to the VP of Automotive Services. you will establish and maintain a partnership with our current and future fleet contractors to ensure a prioritized level of service is always provided to CAA Members. These relationships are enhanced through consistent feedback, addressing jointly when challenges arise and look for opportunities that are mutually beneficial for both parties. As an active member of CAA/AAA clubs you will have the opportunity to be an active participant within national forums and task forces which will provide you the opportunity to share and acquire best practices around contractor engagement and performance. This network will assist in developing objectives, policies and plans, and ensure that Automotive Services operations are managed in accordance with all CAA quality standards, professional practices and governmental regulations. The Manager, Contractor Services will stay up to date on best practices, industry trends and legislative changes in the automotive and towing industries.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing on the job:

  • Establishes and maintains partnerships with our current and future fleet contractors to ensure a prioritized level of service is always provided to CAA Members.
  • Utilizes strong analytical approach to understand the challenges and opportunities within the contractor network. This includes the negotiation and management of the contractor rate and service standards agreement.
  • Looks at opportunities to improve efficiency by leveraging technology to improve Member experience, minimize manual paperwork, increase contractor fleet engagement, etc.
  • Evaluates current procedures, ensuing adherence to CAA quality standards.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the Network to ensure long term contractor viability.
  • Identify and resolve Member concerns with contractor network including response time, staff availability and damage claims.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required from time to time, including providing support to the Emergency Response Services management team.
  • Extensive travel will be required.
  • The role can be located in NB or NS.
  • Overtime as required.
Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications will be required to carry out this role:

• Post-secondary education in the automotive field preferred
• 5 to 7 years' leadership experience in an automotive environment
• Previous experience successfully managing a business or business division
• Knowledge of the Towing industry is an asset.
• Extensive experience in operational execution
• Strong relationship development experience, specifically working with third party partners.
• Superior skills resolving customer service issues
• Strong analytical and financial background
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build and manage key relationships.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Able to maintain confidentiality, integrity and trust within the work environment.
• Excellent contract negotiations and administration skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
