IT Operations Analyst (Office, Hybrid or Remote)

Atlantic Lottery (AL) is seeking an IT Operations Analyst. Location is flexible within Atlantic Canada with occasional travel to Moncton, NB.
As an IT Operations Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for monitoring, setting alerts and closure of issues identified by our Operational Monitoring tools. This would include monitoring services and service levels, maintaining all operations knowledge bases and system tuning. You will provide business process design, documentation, and recommendations for improvement.

- Work closely with the Operations and IT departments to recommend and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Review and analyze reports on metrics from Operations team / APM tools and work alongside IT department to determine technical approaches and solutions to increase process efficiency.
- Ensure clean and accurate documentation that may include aspects, such as business requirements, technical specifications, and present findings in the form of reports.
- Define scope and objectives for projects following meetings with Operations and IT teams.
- Liaison routinely with various stakeholders to determine the status and efficiency of new initiatives.
- Develop business cases and/or project summaries; prepare needs analysis and problem definition; identify current state, desired future state, and gap.
- Working on special projects as required.
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years' experience with systems, analytics (operational, etc.) and/or relevant experience.
- Basic networking skills.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure: SAN, Core Compute, firewalls, switches, backups.
- Experience working with ITSM tools and technologies.
- Experience working with APM tools and technologies.
- Experience documenting process, guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to manipulate and work efficiently with large amounts of data.
- Must be 19 years of age or older to apply.
