Position Overview
Reporting to the Sarnia Branch Manager, this key leadership/systems coordinator position supports and guides the Paladin Security Team serving the Nanticoke site. Primary responsibilities will include system oversite and stewardship within the Imperial Oil Global Operation Integrity Management System (OIMS), relative to the Security Program Review for the Nanticoke Site.
Skills/Qualifications
-Working knowledge of OH&S Acts, Codes and Regulations.
-Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive leadership style.
-Experienced in Jobsite Inspection and Behavior Based Observation.
-Ability to analyze data for trends and develop corrective action plans following the FRCS process as well as report flagged items to Site Security Coordinator.
-Advanced knowledge of Field Level Risk Assessment.
-Ability to analyze data for trends and develop corrective actions within security programs.
-Ability to create a safety culture encouraging positive work behavior and supportive management practices.
-Ability to prepare, organize and manage effective safety meetings and safety presentations.
-Drive efficiency and continuous improvement within role.
-Provide direct feedback via coaching and supporting staff.
Network Demands
The Site Security Manager position entails being available to IOL Site Security upon request to address service demands.
Communication Skills
The Site Security Manager position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Physical Demands
This position is mostly stationed out of an office. At times physical demands may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred qualifications for this Site Security Manager position includes experience in access systems and knowledge of OH&S. Additional training or education in a related field an asset.
Requirements:
-Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Paladin / Industrial security leadership role.
-Minimum Grade 12 and post-secondary education in safety and/or security preferred.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proactive leadership style.
-Excellent computer skills and ability to create and maintain electronic procedures and templates.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
-Acts as frontline Supervisor to security guards in all matters on site.
-Stewards and serves as a role model for the security program.
-Reviews and attests job specific Job Loss Analysis and Post Orders.
-Provides training and/or coaching to security team.
-Responsible for site security safety program and stewardship.
-Produces and maintains security and safety reporting formats.
-Assists IOL Site Security Contact to complete gap closures from OIMS, GS-SPR, CIMS, Internal reviews and from regular stewardship learnings.
-Drive efficiency and continuous improvement within role.
-Develop and maintain all security SharePoint documentation and plans.
-Data Inputting for LPS documents.
-Gathering and analysis of Safety data and Loss program.
-Upkeep of Post Orders, Security General Post Orders both SharePoint and hard copies.
-Work with Site Security Contact on site Security Program Reviews.
-Focal point for all Global Security reporting (Impact).
-Involved in department strategic planning, training and evaluation.
-Participates in incident investigation.
-Working closely with the IOL Site Security Contact on daily issues that come up.
-Stewards and serves as a role model for the safety program.
-Steward the monthly Loss Prevention Observation program.
-Development of measurements and programs, including functional Near Miss Reporting, peer behavior-based assessments and share learnings with security.
-Contributes and attends Site Safety meetings.
-Oversee the Security Training and sign off all new Security Guards coming to the site.
-Manage key control issues and audit to ensure integrity of key issuance.
-Work closely with contracted locksmith on site keys and cores.
