As True North Seafood grows, and our operations and product portfolios expand, we have identified the need for a dedicated Production Planning Manager (12 month Maternity Leave) to oversee our production planning efforts across our facility network. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC), you will be an important aspect of planning, managing and meeting sales targets and expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Standardize and promote consistency throughout the network for product setup, creation and process
  • Focus on the improvement of current manual process toward integrated ERP and automation
  • Oversee planning, sequencing and prioritizing production within the facility network
  • Manage and coordinate products, COGS and schedules for production
  • Ensure new product development timelines align with production and facility preparedness
  • Develop purchase and replenishment tools supported by documented product lead times
  • Oversee costing, routing and formulas are accurate and communicated to accounting
  • Oversee fresh seafood sales order management process to ensure on-time-delivery for customer orders
  • Work with shipping and receiving to ensure system is updated and reflects accurate inventory
  • Align with seafood purchasing to ensure demand is met for production
  • Assist in developing production plans in adherence to the company's need and budget
  • Manage a team of Production Planners/Coordinators to support standardization of production planning across facilities

To be successful in this role you will bring a minimum of 3 years in production planning (and/or equivalent) in a manufacturing or food processing environment, experience with inventory management, supply chain management, or business administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
