Your Contribution
As a Municipal Civil Engineer you will work in collaboration with the Civil Engineering Team in Vancouver Island.
Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
  • Prepare and review reports, proposals, expressions of interest, design drawings, specifications and contract documents.
  • Oversee a multi-discipline design and construction team on projects up to $5M in value.
  • Provide leadership, team building and mentoring of junior staff members.
  • Develop business with existing and potential clients as well as partnering opportunities with other firms to expand MPE's business market.
  • Ensure applicable standards, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during the design process.
  • Prepare and oversee cost management of engineering and construction budgets.
  • Coordinate design and construction tasks of multi-discipline teams.
  • Experience in linear pipe design and construction including water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, drainage systems and transportation.
  • General experience in both design and construction administration considered an asset.
  • Volunteer activities with non-profit, industry and technical organizations will be considered a strong asset.

Your Profile
Responsibilities:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited University or Technical College
  • Registration with EGBC as a P.Eng. or with ASSTBC as an AScT
  • Minimum 8 years of municipal civil engineering experience
  • Land and site development experience
  • Municipal planning
  • Infrastructure and asset management
  • Stormwater management design
  • Strong presentation, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with leadership ability
