Jump Recruitment is currently seeking candidates for the position of Sanitation Supervisor for our client, Newfoundland Eggs Inc., which is located on Roaches Line, Clarke's Beach, Newfoundland and Labrador. With a keen eye for details, the Sanitation Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to the Sanitation Team to achieve full facility compliance with personnel safety, food safety, sanitation, and cleaning requirements.

About Our Company:

Newfoundland Eggs operates a specialized egg grading facility on Roaches Line, supplying graded table eggs and eggs for further processing. We are a fourth-generation family owned and operated business and have experienced continual growth and is poised for further expansion and diversification of its operations and product offerings in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible to:
  • Ensure the safety of team members including the handling of chemicals and safe work procedures.
  • Execute the sanitation program to ensure all equipment and facilities are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with food safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve sanitation processes and procedures, verifying for effectiveness, SOP adherence, and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Accurately complete and/or verify all sanitation documentation to ensure compliance with occupational, health & safety practices, food safety and quality assurance programs.
  • Manage daily activities of sanitation team members to ensure all assigned work activity is completed and carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Train team members according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Three years experience in the implementation and/or management of a sanitation program in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to both create and improve standard operating practices.
  • Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations including First Aid and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well with staff at all levels. 
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Our Work Environment:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, Evening Shift, 40 hours per week (occasional weekend shifts may be required due to operational demand). We also offer a competitive salary.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs is required.
