The Geotechnical Technician will work in the field to get familiar with aspects of geotechnical engineering. The candidate would be exposed to soil sampling protocols. With experience, the candidate would become exposed to field investigations consisting of borehole drilling and test pits.

- Compaction testing using a nuclear gauge
- Field work, including soil drilling supervision and soil sampling
- Soil laboratory testing
- Detailed documentation of field notes
- Interacting and liaising with clients
Your Profile
- Tech, C. E. T. designation or must be eligible to register
- CCIL/ CSA certified concrete technician Type Q & Type R
- CCIL Asphalt Type B (HMA) certified technician
- Certified Nuclear Density gauge operator (Radsafe Certification & TDGA Training provided)
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
- Experience in the geotechnical field of engineering
- Ability to work overtime hours as required to satisfy client demands during peak periods
- Work independently under the Branch Manager
- 4-5 years experience in a similar field
Qualifications:
- Tech, C. E. T. designation or must be eligible to register
- CCIL/ CSA certified concrete technician Type Q & Type R
