HOURS OF WORK:
8-hour shifts - Rotation (mostly day)
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the administrative support coordinator of the Oncology Centre's administration sector, the incumbent of the position is responsible for the administrative support tasks required for the smooth operation of daily activities related to secretarial duties for physicians, including greeting patients, office and reception duties, correspondence, transcription, data entry and billing while ensuring collaboration with the members of the oncology program team. Performs all other related duties as per the sector's needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Postsecondary administrative support training at least one year in length that includes medical terminology or medical transcription courses;
  • One year of previous experience is required;
  • Practical computer knowledge (Meditech module, Microsoft Office suite, etc.);
  • Tact and client-service orientation;
  • Proven ability to organize and manage assigned workload;
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to function in a changing work environment;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.

Written and spoken competence in French and spoken competence in English are required.
