Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Analyst plays an integral role within Eastlink's highly collaborative Human Resources team. As a subject matter expert for our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Talent Management system, the Analyst is responsible for the day to day management of these systems and is responsible for leveraging system capabilities to increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the HR function as well as partnering with Business to develop creative solutions to enhance functionality and meet business needs. In addition, the Analyst is responsible for HR reporting and analytics, permit applications, managing the Company's Employment Equity Program, ensuring consistency in our compensation and administration practices, and will complete special projects as required.
As the ideal candidate you have a strong technical aptitude and are capable of troubleshooting backend system issues. Customer service orientated, your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills have only enhanced your ability to effectively work within the Human Resources field. Innovative by nature, you have a track record of taking the initiative to uncover ways to continually improve processes and procedures. You are highly attentive to detail, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and very fast-paced environment.
Additional Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field is required, specific HR education and/or experience is an asset but not required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and make recommendations to drive continuous improvement in HR practices
  • A high degree of proficiency with MS Office, with intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel
