About the role:

As a Controller at Enkel, you leverage your financial acumen to support your diverse client base. With a passion for client management and exceptional communication skills, you meet with clients to review monthly reporting, to solve business problems, or to help Clients with their next big idea. You mobilize growth opportunities and mentorship to enhance the skillset of colleagues and to exceed client expectations.

On a practical level you will:

• Own the year-end reviews or audits of Enkel's clients while acquiring needed engagement documents and information from the client and service providers.
• Lead monthly meetings to review financial statements, and assist with cash flow planning and budgeting to enhance the financial acumen of Enkel's clients.
• Deliver constructive feedback on monthly reporting deficiencies and lead corrective action to develop the expertise and work of Enkel's Delivery Team.
• Guide Enkel's Bookkeeping Team through complex accounting entries while reviewing their work to ensure high-quality financial statements.
• Create customized dashboards for Enkel's clients to track and monitor meaningful financial insights and business performance.
• Collaborate with Enkel's Client Success Team to onboard new clients and establish monthly reporting processes that yield high-quality work.
• Contribute to discussions surrounding technical accounting to determine practical methods that capture transactions accurately in financial statements.

What You bring to the table:

• 7+ years working as a Controller, Director of Finance, or CFO.
• 3+ years of experience owning your role as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager in a public practice firm.
• Educational background pursuing a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance with an accredited institution.
• Technically versed in cloud-based accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks Online and Xero, to deliver Enkel's digital accounting solutions.
• Exceptionally communication and listening abilities to identify client needs, brainstorm solutions, and exceed client expectations.
