One of our food processing clients is looking for a Maintenance Planner for their plant in Edmonton, AB for their facility.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for all production equipment and facilities.
Create and maintain detailed schedules for preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
Utilize data and feedback from maintenance reports and inspections to identify equipment performance issues and recommend proactive measures to address them.
Coordinate with procurement and inventory control teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and necessary supplies for maintenance activities, while optimizing inventory levels to minimize costs.
Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance logs, to facilitate tracking of equipment performance and compliance requirements.
Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on proper maintenance procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, and address equipment-related issues impacting production efficiency and product quality.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the maintenance function, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and scheduling software.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability-centered maintenance principles is desirable.
