Job Title: Director - Solutions Delivery, Marketing Technology Job ID: BJ46727774Location: Vancouver, BCOverview:Our client is looking for a Director- Solutions Delivery, Marketing Technology! As the prime IT delivery and technical leader for the digital marketing space, the Director - Solutions Delivery, Marketing Technology will formalize plans and accompany them throughout the execution journey. Capitalizing on a strong track record and vast experiences in digital marketing technologies, you will lead and support the buildup of our digital ecosystem and help grow and scale internal abilities in various functional areas. You will lead with both senior leadership and hands-on experience over marketing technology, digitalization, and innovation and will collaborate with their global Digital CoE & innovation teams. Based out of the Vancouver office, some travel to/from our various regional and international offices will be required to meet, strategize and collaborate with Marketing colleagues. The client loves their office and the setting it provides for celebration and collaboration but they also appreciate that working remotely can energize you too, so they do offer flexible arrangements!What you will be doing:Strategic Planning
  • Effectively embrace digital marketing strategy from the Digital COE teams, evaluate options and generate Marketing Tech solutions for key Marketing & Digital stakeholders, focusing on the achievement of KPIs and impact on business objectives
  • Exploration of digital innovations with a focus on improving the customer journey
  • Lead development and operation of digital projects to achieve cost-savings or to enhance the customer experience
  • Conceive of new Marketing Solutions contributing to an underlying platform strategy
  • Participate and lead as needed to generate business case and cost/benefit analysis as required for projects
  • Develop, refine and own the tools required to deliver digital transformation projects and research and recommend new marketing technology solutions
  • Research SaaS solutions and identify the state-of-the-art Marketing solutions that will fit in to their company ecosystems
Technical Functions
  • Perform application buy or build analysis that best supports business objectives that supports Marketing & Digital initiatives
  • Lead and facilitate technical integration and data & analytics projects and enhancement request activities for new business units and new markets
  • Engage with Digital excellence teams and Marketing teams to define solution functional requirements
Logistical Functions
  • Be aware of Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL); PCI compliance and related
  • marketing laws in Canada and the US and international markets and apply them in the company's Marketing context
  • Coordinate with various technical and digital teams around data ingestion and several
  • technical integration marketing technology applications
  • Monitor data quality within marketing technology products
Team & Leadership
  • Lead a team of Digital Analysts, Marketing Technology Application Specialists
  • Define the skills, competencies, and talents for Marketing Technology IT team members, including overall training and development of the team
  • Lead change management and roll out of marketing technology solutions
  • Serve as subject matter expert in marketing technologies and trends
  • Manage vendors and budgets as needed for Marketing Technology applications
  • Build trust-based relationships with Digital Team Product Owners, stakeholders and business leads
What you must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or technology related field
  • 15+ years' experience in a Marketing Technology Solutions or Marketing Project
  • Leadership role with demonstrated accomplishments in Marketing functional areas within Brewing/Supply Chain/Logistics/CPG industry
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing disciplines, including SEO/SEM, customer segmentation, email marketing, marketing automation, lead generation, lead nurturing, content strategy and website UX and UI best practices
  • Experience with a wide variety of MarTech applications, including CMS, E-Commerce and web analytics
  • Experience with enterprise platform solutions such as Salesforce Marketing and / or Commerce Cloud
  • Experience managing small and large-scale projects along with deployment of enterprise SaaS applications in the Marketing Technology space
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
  • Ability to train or instruct in a large group setting
  • Must be detail oriented and meticulous when necessary paired with the ability to understand broader business context and strategic importance
  • Ability to decipher the cause effect relationships between business users, connected systems and data. Genuine passion for discovering the core issues or gaps and proposing actionable solutions
  • Working experience using user stories, use-cases to capture and document business and technical requirements
