Job Title: Communication Lead - OCMJob ID: CV4369591725Location: New Westminster, BC - HybridOverview:The ERP program, one of our client's largest programs is a multi-stakeholder effort with broad impact across the business. The program is set up to deliver significant system and business process changes across the enterprise. The program team is made up of approximately 100 people organized into five workstreams. These multidisciplinary workstreams work collectively to deliver the successful outcomes of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Finance and Supply Chain (FSM) projects. Reporting to the ERP Program's OCM Lead, you will work closely with other members of the OCM team and the wider program teams.What you will be doing:The OCM Communications Lead will provide services as follows including but not limited to:
  • Bring leadership and employee communication expertise that are focused on accelerating change and building change capability.
  • Work with the team to simplify complex ideas into plain language, crafting compelling storylines around change, and driving business results.
  • Be comfortable with the uncomfortable and find opportunities to create value for our clients.
  • Lead the development of change communications deliverables, in partnership with the OCM team and another member (s) of the project team.
  • Work with the OCM team to brainstorm, develop, and execute communication strategies and tactics in the support of transitioning impacted stakeholders
  • Deliver communications that speak to the target audience(s), use the appropriate voice and vehicle, and inspire the desired action behaviors.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality work that translates complex ideas into compelling, polished, and straightforward language.
  • Independently incorporate feedback and resolve issues from multiple stakeholders/sources.
  • Actively participate in and lead communication SME portion of meetings/calls.
  • Understand the ERP Program environment and demonstrate a client-focused mindset; manage multiple ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables.
  • Execute the ERP Program team's communication plan with the ERP Program Director, with the goal of developing high performing team.
  • The contracted candidate may also be assigned to other full life-cycle projects as required by the Business Technology Services (BTS) Project Management Office. Project assignment will also depend on the candidate's suitability and qualifications
What you must have:
  • Degree in Communications, English or comparable
  • 5-7+ years employee communications experience
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into everyday language
  • Proven ability to write compelling, polished copy across multiple media for varying audiences
  • Egoless writer – able to take feedback from multiple sources, resolve issues independently; thrives in a team environment that works iteratively
  • Curious, self-motivated, hard-working, well-organized, thick-skinned and resilient to ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables.
  • Comfortable expressing a point of view and taking risks
  • Change management or executive communications content experience a plus
  • Computer skills - Standard Office tools including word processing and spreadsheet software, and common project management software such as MS Project and Visio.
