Satori is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced gynecological specialty clinic at Greenview Medical Centre. The nurse will work alongside an experienced gynecologist and other healthcare professionals to provide specialized health support services in a clinic setting.

The nurse will primarily be responsible for facilitating patient intake and flow, including supporting patients in completing intake forms, conducting preliminary patient assessments, and preparing clinic rooms. The ideal candidate must provide an exceptional patient-first experience and have the ability to communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a multidisciplinary team. A combination of education, experience, and strong computer skills will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient intake and flow, including supporting patients in completing intake forms, conducting preliminary patient assessments (including taking vital signs), and preparing clinic rooms
• Prepare patients for and support medical providers in completing medical procedures
• Provide for and coordinate patient follow-up, education, subsequent treatment options, bookings and referrals
• Serve as a contact point for patient questions regarding results and prescribed treatments
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe environment for patients and staff according to Satori's policies and procedures
• Work in collaboration with the family practice clinic
• Other duties as assigned that support the needs of the clinic, its medical providers and patients

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in a nursing related role, ideally in a clinic setting
• Nursing license in good standing with either the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) or College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
• Direct experience in supporting women's health and basic gynecologic knowledge considered an asset
• Confident with taking vitals, conducting patient assessments and providing patient education
• Knowledge of cleaning and caring for instruments and sterilization
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office and EMR systems, including Accuro and Netcare

• Proficient in the use of computers and other office equipment
• An ability to respond in a supportive manner, communicate effectively and de-escalate patient concerns
