Initially, this will be a part-time role then become a full-time position. This client is an exciting full funded start-up in the Biofuel industry. What you will be doing:Full cycle accounting:

• Recording of entries and transactions
• Monitoring of purchase orders and accounts payable; make wire payments as necessary
• Bank reconciliations
• Account reconciliations
• Month-end journal entries and accruals
• Fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
• Tracking and review of project and company costs
• Support budget vs actual process and drive variance analysis
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Assist with drafting monthly internal financial reporting package
• Documentation of internal processes and procedures
• Assist with improvement of internal processes
• Support ad hoc tasks and projects as required

What you must have:

• University Degree
• Designation or working towards
• Industry accounting experience 2 – 5 years
• Prefer cost accounting experience
• Project accounting experience would be an asset
• Prefer familiarity with JD Edwards
