Job Title: Financial Analyst (Junior)Job ID: AB36653104
This is a 4-month contract (Oct-Feb) which requires a Junior Financial Analyst to work with a government related organization to assist with general Financial duties which include:

• Conducts monthly budget / forecast reporting and analyses.
• Reviews information in the budget / forecast tool, prepares reports and updates information as required.
• Reviews accounting records monthly to ensure transactions are accurately reflected for reporting purposes.
• Reviews Accounts Payable batches to ensure accuracy of the expenses (coding, authorization, and completeness).
• Works closely with accountant in treasury back-office transactions via SWIFT and develops and maintains back-office processes and procedures.
• Assists finance team in new initiatives and projects as required.
• Performs other relevant duties as required.

Things you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, or any finance related degree.
• A minimum of three years of experience in the field of accounting and/or financial analysis, specifically in budgeting, forecasting, and developing reports.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Experience with financial systems, financial reporting tools and Excel.
• Eligible for a reliability Security Clearance.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
• Fluency in English & French is considered an asset
• Experience working in Great Plains and BOARD
