The Role
We are currently looking to add an experienced Project Coordinator / Field Engineer to support our Midstream division on multiple construction projects (industrial, civil, mechanical, piping) throughout AB and BC and will require working onsite on a rotational basis and/or for the full duration of the project.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing ongoing project management administrative support to the project management and field teams. The ideal candidate has a CET diploma or an engineering degree and is used to working on site.
  • Assist PM with defining the scope of work portion of contracts. Assisting with bid evaluations and reviewing and overseeing subcontractors.
  • Assist PM with identifying change in Scope of Work and execution of Change Management.
  • Monitor daily progress of job(s) and/or project(s)
  • Provide progress reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete quantity surveys for progress reporting, schedule and forecasting as required.
  • Assist PM with progress billing, contract review, and change order preparation as required.
  • Assist Project Team with procurement of materials and third-party vendors.
  • Works closely with Construction Management to participate in workforce planning for manpower, materials, logistics, equipment and subcontracts.
  • Work closely with the PM and site supervision to ensure the safe and effective execution of the overall project plan.
  • Write RFI's and quality control documents

Education/Training Requirements
  • 3-5 years of on-site experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  • Experience in industrial, mechanical and piping construction on brownfield projects.
  • Proficient in the interpretation of engineered drawings, Isometrics, LDT's and P&ID's
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and piping components
  • Eligible for or have obtained EIT, P.Eng or CET designation considered an asset
  • PMP designation considered and asset
  • Solid technical computer skills (Microsoft suite of products, Google Platform, Bluebeam, Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficient with commonly used scheduling or estimating software
  • Self-motivated and hard-working professional with a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to problem solve and work under pressure
  • Will have to complete various safety training and orientations as per client and OCL requirements prior to accessing site
  • May have to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to accessing site
  • CSTS-20, WHMIS, H2S Alive and Standard First Aid are all considered assets
