POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you passionate about shaping the future generation and making a positive impact in their lives? We are looking for an enthusiastic, attentive Summer Camp Educator to lead, support and motivate campers as they enjoy all that the camp has to offer. To succeed as a camp counsellor, you should be upbeat, decisive and responsible. You should also be organized and possess strong leadership skills.
Contract starting June 24, 2024 and ending August 30, 2024. These contracts may be extended, upon approval, and could turn into a full-time role, depending on campus requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with other camp team members to plan and coordinate camp activities
- Monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents
- Provides positive social experiences
- Educate campers through games and explorations
- Facilitates and understanding of a variety of cultures and value systems
- Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment
- Implement emergency procedures
- Attending to the child's physical needs
- Provide age-appropriate programs to enhance the children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
- Fully participate in all water activities including immersed in pools, creeks etc.
- Cleaning, maintaining and ensuring proper use of camp facilities and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in early years education
- Early Childhood education including:
- RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator
- ECE Early Childhood Educator
- CYW Child Youth Worker
- CYC Child and Youth Care
- ECA Early Childhood Assistant
- EA Educational Assistant
MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 Step TB
- Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
