The Manager, Cyber and Technology Risk maintains and administers Gore's cyber and technology risk framework. Through administration of the framework and its components, the role helps Gore's second line of defense provide effective oversight and challenge of the organization's cyber and technology risks. The role assists with the effective management of risks by coordinating activities related to risk identification, assessment, mitigation, measurement, monitoring, and reporting.

What will you do?

  • Maintain the organization's Cyber and Technology Risk Management Frameworks and associated programs and ensure these are embedded within all related organizational processes
  • Participate in assessing and enhancing the organization's cyber and technology maturity by leveraging data to innovate risk assessment techniques in partnership with CRO and IT Security
  • Facilitate RCSA and challenge first line assessment against established standards and frameworks
  • Providing expert opinion and subject matter expertise support to the CRO and the ERM team
  • Participate in assessments of new and existing technologies to identify risks and appropriate controls while partnering with IT Security and CRO to balance security and operability
  • Stay current on notable cyber and technology risk events, emerging cyber threats, and their potential implications to the organization
  • Support with ensuring organizational compliance with cyber and technology regulatory requirements including OSFI B-13 and OSFI-B10

What will you need?

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
  • Cyber security designation: CISSP or CISM or CISA preferred
  • Certifications: ITIL or TOGAF preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in cyber security and/or IT
  • 2 years of relevant experience in managing Enterprise or Operational Risk (as part of a second line of defense or 1B role)
  • Expertise in Cyber security
  • Supporting cloud-based IT networks
  • Expertise in the IT support cycle
