Salary:

Our client, a reputable service-based company located in Guelph, is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Administrator to join their team. Renowned for their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, our client values professionalism and strives to deliver top-tier services with every interaction. This position will report directly to the Manager, HR, and will play a pivotal role in overseeing the payroll process, encompassing adjustments, ROE's, T4's, remittances, and account reconciliation. Additionally, the incumbent will provide support in various HR functions such as Recruitment, Onboarding, Orientation, Health and Safety, and Training.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

  • Assume ownership of the bi-weekly payroll cycle, utilizing Quickbooks initially and transitioning to NetSuite.
  • Manage payroll adjustments, ROE's, T4's, remittances, and perform thorough account reconciliation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll matters.
  • Execute any other payroll-related duties as assigned.

Recruitment/Onboarding:

  • Post open positions on relevant job boards and the company's website.
  • Utilize social media platforms and other channels for effective job promotion.
  • Screen resumes, schedule and conduct phone interviews, and coordinate video/in-person interviews.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Training/Health and Safety:

  • Deliver comprehensive orientation training to new hires.
  • Coordinate and monitor ongoing training requirements in collaboration with Managers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of safety training initiatives.
  • Provide assistance and contribute to Health and Safety initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience processing payroll.
  • Strong with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks or NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Aspiring or current CHRP a plus.
  • PCP certification is a plus.
  • Onsite availability from Monday to Friday, Day Shift, totaling 42.5 hours per week.
