Job Title: Project ManagerJob ID: BP223576412Location: Markham, ON Overview:Our client is looking to hire several Project Managers with retail experience. These roles are full time and based in the Markham area. At this time the company is working remotely but as pandemic restrictions are lifted the organization will move to a flex / hybrid schedule (combination of onsite and remote work). The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing IT enterprise projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and within approved budget. You will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed on a regular basis. What you will be doing:
  • Define project objectives, scope, performance measures, governance, requirements and resources in consultation with Executive Sponsors and stakeholders. Establish roles and responsibilities for the project.
  • Lead planning, development, and implementation of project plans for corporate initiatives to ensure deliverables are achieved working with cross functional teams from across the organization. Identify and track work packages, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Provide on-going communication to stakeholders, including status updates, and project documents for varied purposes, including executive briefings, meetings with internal and external stakeholders, committees and project sponsors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in DevOps or Agile SDLC
  • Proactively identify and track project risks/ issues and develops/ implements mitigation plans.
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in project planning, implementation, management principles and methodologies, business analysis.
  • Prepare and present business case proposals, reports, briefings, and requirements documentation
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and present to various project teams is required.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering presentations to wide range of audiences.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and client management skills; highly developed impact and influencing skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills with demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet and manage multiple and conflicting deadlines and work under pressure.
What you must have:
  • University degree or post-secondary diploma/certificate in IT, Business or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience as project manager within a Retail and/or Pet supply similar SKU-intensive industry
  • PMP certification is considered a strong asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint tools – required.
  • Experience working with project management methodology - budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
  • Experience working with client requirements, business objectives, and critical success factors.
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
