The Position:

Summit Search Grouphas been engaged byPrairie Co-operative Limitedon the recruitment of their next Ag Sales & Procurement Manager in Melville, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, the Ag Sales / Procurement Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight to the Agro Division operations, programs, and policies. You will be responsible for building and managing strong customer relationships and ensuring safety and environmental policies and procedures are achieved.

The successful candidate will market merchandise of the Ag Locations including display, promotions, and pricing. As the Agriculture Procurement Manager, you are someone with a broad-based operational knowledge and managerial skills to achieve strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership, direction and oversight to Agro Division operations, programs, and policies in Melville.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the Prairie Coops objectives and industry best practices.
• Lead sourcing efforts to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality and cost effectiveness criteria.
• Administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.
• Oversee the completion and follow through of all safety and environmental policies and procedures and ensure standards are achieved.
• Provide leadership to the Ag Sales Representatives, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Education in Agriculture or a related discipline.
• CCA or P. Ag designation is desirable.
• 8+ years of Relevant Experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong background in Agriculture, Account Management, or Agronomy is considered an asset.
