Evolve Recycling Inc., located at 300 Henry St, Brantford, ON is Canada's leader in tire recycling. As a fully-integrated tire recycling we collect end-of-life tires of all sizes from across Ontario. We process these tires into crumb rubber in a variety of specifications.

We are looking to add an individual to our manufacturing team in Brantford, in our maintenance department. Priority will be given to individuals with experience performing maintenance on industrial equipment.

Previous experience being a Millwright, Millwright Apprentice, Machinist or Mechanic would be considered a strong asset.

Shift:

Monday-Friday

Afternoon 3pm-11:30 pm

Weekend

Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon (Work 36 hrs, paid for 40)

Day 7am- 7pm

Wage: $37-$45 hourly, plus shift premiums where applicable

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for trouble shooting of machinery to minimize down time
  • Responsible for working within/assisting in the development & implementation of PM programs and equipment upgrades
  • Record and document time, work order completion information and parts usage on CMMS work order system
  • Create work orders and assist in the planning of jobs and projects
  • All work performed and completed may require skills such as electrical troubleshooting, Power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, fabrication, and other areas as needed
  • Must practice good communication skills with Maintenance Team Members, Production Supervisors and Management
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, Company Joint Health & Safety Programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a millwright (3+ years); manufacturing setting is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • A team player who constructively contributes to a positive environment and is able to work alone
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent technical skills, mechanical aptitude and ability
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
