Optometric Assistant or Student/Licensed Optician

About Our Clinic:

We are a friendly, patient-focused optometry clinic in the St. Clair West area offering comprehensive eye care, dry eye management, glasses, contact lenses, and myopia management. Our focus is on providing each of our patients with great service and quality care. We are looking for an Optometric Assistant or Student/Licensed Optician with a warm personality and strong customer service skills to grow with our clinic. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to move to full-time in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and explain diagnostic testing using: autorefractor, Optos retinal imaging, OCT, visual fields

• Schedule appointments and manage EMR, maintaining patient privacy

• Answer phones, emails, and help maintain smooth clinic flow

• Support dry eye and myopia management product recommendations

• Assist with contact lens handling & training

• Assist patients with eyeglass styling, adjustments, and optical sales

Required Experience:

• At least 1 year of Administrative/Admin/Reception experience

• At least 1 year of Retail and/or Customer Service experience

Preferred Experience:

• Optometric Assistant or optical experience

• Experience with autorefractor, OCT, Optos, or visual fields, etc.

Schedule:

• Part time: Approx 35 hours/week

• Required Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM, Friday 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, ability to stay late as needed
