SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Production Assembler is responsible for operating production equipment, assembling products according to specifications, and performing quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures products are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality and safety standards. The Production Assembler supports production objectives through equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance activities, and collaboration with internal departments.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Operates production equipment and machinery in accordance with work orders, specifications, and production schedules
  • Assembles products and components while ensuring quality standards and customer specifications are met
  • Performs quality inspections throughout the production process and addresses product deficiencies as required
  • Identifies and troubleshoots basic equipment and process issues and escalates unresolved concerns to the Production Supervisor
  • Performs routine equipment cleaning, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping activities to support operational efficiency
  • Assists with packaging and preparation of finished products for shipment
  • Communicates and collaborates with internal departments to support production, inventory, quality, and customer requirements
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment and complies with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Supports the company vision and mission and demonstrates corporate core values in all professional activities

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements throughout the workday
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely operate equipment and use required tools
  • Ability to visually inspect products and materials for quality and accuracy
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety requirements

Required credentials:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or machine operation experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and production documentation
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse or production systems, preferred
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate information necessary to safely and effectively perform the essential duties of the position

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift: Days - Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Work Location: Onsite - Unit A - 1 High Plains Trail, Rocky View County, AB T4A 3M6

Wage: $25.96 per hour
