Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician with strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and passionate about identifying and resolving complex vehicle concerns. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are diagnosed accurately, repaired efficiently, and maintained to Kia's standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.

Identify and diagnose complex vehicle concerns using diagnostic scan tools, specialized equipment, and technical information.

Diagnose check engine lights, warning indicators, drivability concerns, electrical faults, and intermittent issues.

Perform diagnostic testing and determine the root cause of customer-reported concerns.

Complete repairs accurately and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.

Utilize Kia technical service information, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and diagnostic procedures.

Document diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and work performed clearly and accurately.

Work closely with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure effective communication and a smooth customer experience.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Stay current with new automotive technologies, manufacturer training, and evolving diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

Automotive technician experience, with a strong background in diagnostics and troubleshooting.

310S Automotive Service Technician license preferred.

Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, engine performance, drivability, and vehicle electronics.

Experience using professional diagnostic scan tools and technical service information.

Previous dealership experience is an asset; Kia experience is considered an advantage.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.

A valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.
