Position: Senior Accountant, Assurance (Audit)

Job Summary:
Career Market is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant for a leading public accounting firm. This role is critical for managing complex audit and review engagements for owner managed clients and ensuring compliance with ASPE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently plan, execute, and lead audit and review engagements.
- Analyze financial statements, manage risk assessments, and prepare corporate tax returns.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Maintain and develop client relationships, understanding their unique business goals.
- Prepare detailed reports and memos with appropriate accounting conclusions.
- Manage multiple projects, monitoring deadlines and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting or a related field.
- CPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA program.
- At least 4 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on assurance and audit.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
- Proficient in MS Office, CaseWare, and other accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
