Senior Business Analyst – ePrescribe

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support an ePrescribing / medication initiative within a digital healthcare modernization program.

The successful candidate will work with clinical, business, and technical stakeholders to define requirements, analyze medication workflows, support solution design and implementation, and contribute to project planning and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and document requirements for medication and ePrescribing workflows.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Analyze healthcare information systems, clinical workflows, and data processes.
  • Support the technical design and implementation of the ePrescribing solution.
  • Contribute to project plans, status reporting, and working groups.
  • Develop business process and requirements documentation.
  • Support issue, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate across business, clinical, and technical teams.
  • Support knowledge transfer and ensure project documentation is maintained.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 5–7+ years of Business Analysis experience in electronic health/healthcare projects, preferably with clinical software systems.
  • 5–8+ years of experience defining and implementing health system business requirements.
  • 4–5+ years of experience with Healthcare Information Systems and data workflows.
  • 4–5+ years of experience with medication/pharmacy workflows or related processes within hospitals, patient admissions, or health records.
  • Strong experience with requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders in complex/matrix environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with ePrescribing / ePrescription solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of medication workflows.
  • Experience with healthcare implementation and deployment projects.
  • Experience working with provincial healthcare programs or support models.
  • Knowledge of PHIPA, FIPPA, HPPA, and Health Information Custodian requirements.
  • Experience working in complex public-sector or politically sensitive environments.
  • Experience with clinical workflow modernization and digital health initiatives.
Additional Information
  • Hybrid position with up to 3 days onsite in Toronto, based on business requirements and Hiring Manager discretion.
  • Work must be performed within Ontario due to system and data-access requirements.
  • Agency laptop will be provided.
