POSITION SUMMARY

We're looking for a People Services Specialist to join our team and help drive key HR initiatives across the organization. In this dynamic role, you'll be the go-to resource for employees and managers, leading efforts in employee relations, compliance, performance, and more, supporting our teams in Canada. You'll oversee the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding and development to retention and offboarding. Your work will help ensure our HR policies are effectively implemented, and our workplace remains engaging, inclusive, and compliant.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Be the first point of contact for employees and managers with HR-related questions and concerns.
  • Champion the employee experience through onboarding, development, engagement, and offboarding initiatives.
  • Guide and coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
  • Assist in developing and rolling out HR programs and procedures.
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities that support individual and team growth.
  • Support recruitment efforts, from job postings to interviews and selection.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports on key metrics.
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects and initiatives that enhance our people-first culture.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management, business administration or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in HR, ideally in a generalist role, with some experience in US HR being advantageous.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels and provide clear, supportive guidance.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy when handling employee records, payroll inquiries, and compliance tracking.
  • A high level of confidentiality and integrity when managing sensitive employee information.
  • Problem-solving skills to think critically and find solutions for HR-related inquiries.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently while keeping records and processes up to date.
